Fresh Strawberry Milk

Fresh Strawberry Puree

  • 10 Fresh Strawberries (Frozen Strawberries okay too)
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar

Strawberry Topping

  • 5 Fresh Strawberries

  • Few cup(s) Milk

Prep Ingredients

  • Start by sterilizing your glass jars (if you will store for a few days).
  • Wash the strawberries. Cut the stems off 10 strawberries (this is for the puree).
  • Place the 10 in a mixing bowl. Thoroughly mash them with a fork or heavy utensil. Once its thoroughly mashed, mix in the Sugar (3 Tablespoons). Set aside.
  • Then finely dice 5 additional strawberries (this is for the toppings)

Boil Puree

  • Place the mashed strawberries into a pot. Bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling, stir around for 20-30 seconds. Turn off heat.
  • Now the hard part - wait until the puree completely cools down. (You can briefly place in the freezer to cool it down quicker.)

Make Fresh Strawberry Milk.

  • Pour the chilled puree to about 1/4 way up your glass bottles. Then add-in your milk. Don't fill the milk all the way to the top. Save some room for the diced strawberries. Add in as many diced strawberries as your heart pleases :) Twist the lid on.
  • Shake the drink well before drinking.
  • (Note: You can drink it immediately - but we think it tastes better if you let it sit in the refrigerator overnight)
  • Bon Appetit Neighbors!
